LX3 Holding actively elicits community involvement while working with local governments, municipalities, and private sectors to build strong communities, industries and markets. LX3 encourages using local resources in a way that enhances economic opportunities while improving social conditions in a sustainable way.
LX3 seeks to educate, inspire and empower individuals and groups of people with the necessary skills they need to effect change within their communities. These skills are often created through the formation of trade and vocational schools, internships, job placement and more. We at LX3 understand both, on how to work with individuals and how to affect communities' positions with the context of larger social institutions.
LX3 initiatives are implemented to combat social injustices and increase opportunities for minorities and members of underserved and disadvantages communities. With carious problems facing communities abroad—unemployment, poverty, lack of resources/training, job loss, environmental degradation—these issues need to be addressed in a holistic and participatory way.
When facing gentrification, increasing access to capital is an extremely important strategy for community economic development. Historically, residents in poor neighborhoods have experienced great difficulty finding access to capital because they are traditionally viewed as credit risks.
In places where banks do offer services, these residents face other structural barriers such as minimum deposits requirements, high service fees, and complex paperwork. To solve these problems, LX3 Holding develops alternate neighborhood community development financial institutions such as community development credit unions, community banks and community development venture capital funds.
